The German discount retailer Aldi has reported a significant increase in organic product sales at its stores in Spain over the past two years. According to data from market research agency Circana, one in five Aldi receipts in Spain includes organic products. This comes as the overall market share
of organic goods in the Spanish food sector has reached 9,6%.
Between 2022 and 2024, Aldi organic product sales in Spain grew by 5,63%. The chain’s Spanish stores offer around 490 certified organic products, most of which are part of Aldi private label brands. In 2024, Aldi reduced the prices of more than 450 items, offering discounts of up to 50%.
These price cuts also included a selection of certified organic products.
