The creativity of its bagged salad mixes, which it sells in half of Europe and the Arab Emirates, is the strong point of OP La Maggiolina, a completely organic production carried out by 17 farms spread across Campania, Lombardy and Veneto and packaged by its partner L’Insalata dell’Orto, in its processing warehouse in Mira, very close to Venice.
Present at Biofach 2022 with Alessandro Spelta, Quality Manager, and Giorgia Maria Corsini, L’Insalata dell’Orto Business Development Manager, OP La Maggiolina exports 60% of its production, conquering customers with the continuous innovation in its organic salad offer.
A great novelty for the German market are salad mixes with the addition of edible flowers (a real “speciality of the house”), while in Denmark this Italian Producers’ Organisation is successfully offering a package of pea leaflets, the so-called pea tops. Another success are the mixes with exotic leaves of oriental origin: packages for which there is a strong demand.
“We have been following the evolution of organic farming for many years and with two of our farms we have entered certified biodynamic Naturland and Demeter”, says Alessandro Spelta.
“We are at Biofach with the determination to find new partners and distributors in countries where we are not present. We are confident despite the general situation is not easy”, adds Giorgia Maria Corsini.
